That's right, residents using the [Life2] system now have public washrooms. They will be refilled only so often though, so please.....if the washroom need "tending" leave a notecard in the Mayor's mailbox at townhall.

Fire Prevention Week: Day 2

So first up as you can see we have a rear end collision simulated here.  The first thing tool we have at our disposal is called a rescue strut, we have two of them holding up the blue car to keep it from moving.  We also have rescue straps which are attached at the strut right now but can also be used to keep vehicle parts together.

Here in front you see some wood blocks, these are called cribbing which we can use to keep things from moving around or from sliding on an incline.  The most versatile cribbing tool we have is the one that looks like stairs, we call it 5 step cribbing.

This next tool here is a vapor detector. We can use this to detect fuel leaks. All someone needs to rp a fuel leak, either in their vehicle or business or home, is to take a prim or object and rename it HAZARD.

These next tools make up what we call the jaws of life.  These are spreaders. The next part of the jaws of life are cutters.  These can also be used to help someone trapped under rubble.
This next tool is called the ram, its used for pushing a dashboard away from a seat so people can get freed.

We also have two different saws that can be used to cut vehicles open or buildings open.  Aas you can see all these tools are useable. The hydraulic compressor is  used for the tools that are not battery powered.

We can rp a wide variety of car accidents from a simple car fire, to a broken fuel line

It is the Thanksgiving weekend in Canada this weekend :D ♥

Interview with the Mayor

On 10/1/17 I had the privilege of sitting down and chatting with our very own Mayor Kira Rey Shaker-Darkstar.  We started out our conversation with discussing the plans for the new lake construction. The Mayor informed me that a new pavilion has been put in place and the construction should be over soon. The Mayor wants the lake to be open as quickly as possible so that all can resume fishing and boating in our fresh waters. The Mayor also said she would like more events to take place in the new pavilion with dances for all the special couples.

Did you know that a rumor is escalating of a creature that resides in our very own lake? Thats right folks, Mayor confirmed the rumors and says she believes the creature to be harmless and forbids anyone that attempts to capture it. The Mayor tells me that the creature stems from a legend on the main land. The monster that is called the Ogopogo is a serpent like creature and lives in a lake. It is something like a Lochness Monster. Rumor has it that is cousin resides in our lake and has been named Ogolulu. Photo's of this monster would be welcome as long as it does not harm the creature.

I also asked the Mayor if there would be a fishing derby in the future of the Lake, Sky View County has a lot of fisher men and women. So keep your eyes out for any new fishing contests in the near future. I was also informed that the Mayor is seeking to fill an events coordinator so if you or someone you know is interested then please contact the Mayor's office.

We moved on to community improvements, Paved roads will not be coming to Sky View because Mayor is very environmentally conscious and is aware of keeping our footprint to the minimum. Our dirt roads in Sky View is what separates us from those wild and crazy city folks anyway. She also stated that additional commercial buildings could be in our future. Perhaps a McDonald's or a Pizza place could be closer than a ferry boat ride! Sweet 16....

If you were around the lake on September 30th then you would have witnessed little Miss Morgan Anatine's Sweet 16 Ball. It was a grand ball with several in attendance. Those among the guest list were the Mayor herself along with the Assistant Chief of the Police, the Assistant Chief of the Fire and several other members of both the Police Department and Fire Department. The Chief of the PDFD also spinned his magical music talent. It was as if the whole community came together on a magical night for one young lady.  Many people danced the night away on the very well decorated pier. The pier was stunning with lights reflecting from the candles off the calm lake waters. The weather was perfect for a beautiful evening.

The dance floor was on fire from all the dancing, so much sparks from all those heels that the venue burst into flames! All guests were safely evacuated and there were no casualties or injuries reported.  At the time of this story, the investigation for the cause of the fire was still under way.

the lake front pier was a total loss and is currently closed to the public while the Mayor gathers funding for a new lake front project.  The Mayor was unavailable for an interview.
